Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger is single again.
She and 2008 Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton have announced that they have split after two years.
“Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton can confirm that they have decided to go their separate ways,” a statement read. “The two of them have decided to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends.”
Hamilton, 25, and Scherzinger, 31, began dating after meeting at the MTV Europe Awards in Munich in November 2007.
She previously told Hello! magazine that she “was so tired at the show, but he walked into the room and brightened it up to no end.”
Ever since, “We go out, goof around and enjoy life,” she told the magazine. “Why not? We’re both young and having fun.”
“I believe in it more with each year – every girl does,” she said. “We all strive to find a soulmate. Have I found mine yet? Keep watching!”
