We hear congratulations is in order for Russell Brand and Katy Perry!

The couple is reportedly engaged! According to the Daily Mirror, Russell popped the question last week while Katy was in the U.K. prior to Christmas, and that they’re thrilled to be taking their relationship to the next level.

A source close to the publication says, “Russell knows Katy’s the one for him.He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.”

But apparently the biggest hurdle will be finding time for the actual nuptials. The insider says, “They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work.”

Well the two of them are basically joined at the hip right now! If it keeps up like this they’ll have no problem finding time to be in the same place! We also hear Russell purchased a new home for his fiance.

Charlie Sheen Arrested for Domestic Violence | Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen was arrested Friday at 11:20 a.m. on domestic violence charges.

The Two and a Half Men star was booked for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department in Aspen, Colo.

“Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as the actor Charles I. Sheen, was brought to the Pitkin County Colorado Jail for booking and incarceration following his arrest by the Aspen Police Department,” Pitkin County Sheriffs Office patrol director Jeff Lumsden said in a statement.

The actor’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, tells PEOPLE, “Do not be mislead by appearance. Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”

Sheen, 44, spent Christmas in jail after an alleged scuffle with his wife, Brooke Mueller. He is being held with no bond, and he will remain in jail until his court appearance due to Colorado law which mandates a protection order between those arrested for domestic violence and their victims.

One of Hollywood’s most enduring relationships has ended – Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have broken up after more than two decades together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

“Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer,” her rep Teal Cannaday tells PEOPLE in a statement. “No further comments will be made.”

The couple met on the set of Bull Durham, and they have two sons together, Jack, 20, and Miles, 17.

Sarandon, 63, was previously married to Chris Sarandon, whom she met in college. The actress also dated director Franco Amurri in the mid ’80s. The two had a daughter, Eva Amurri, in 1985. (Amurri is also an actress; she most recently appeared in Showtime’s Californication).

Sarandon and Robbins, 51, were admired for their long relationship in the face of the pressures of show business, their much-discussed age difference – he’s 12 years younger – and that they never married.

“I won’t marry because I am too afraid of taking him for granted or him taking me for granted – maybe it will be a good excuse for a party when I am 80,” Sarandon has said in the past.

Both famous liberal activists, they have never been too political at home with their children. “I’ve never tried to force [politics] on them,” the actress tells Psychologies magazine in its January issue, but adds that the election of President Barack Obama “got them excited.”

The family all attended the inauguration in January, though Sarandon insists “our dinner table conversations are rarely political.”

Report: Carrie Underwood Gets Engaged!Carrie Underwood is engaged to marry Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher, who popped the question over the weekend, according to reports out of Canada.

The Ottawa Senators player confirmed the news on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun.

“It’s true,” he is quoted as saying. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”

Underwood, 26, and Fisher, 29, have kept their year-long relationship mostly under the radar, but Underwood declared her love for Fisher in the liner notes of her new album, Play On.

“I love you so much!” she wrote. “You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”

Brittany Murphy Dies at 32Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest early Sunday morning, according to a report by TMZ. The actress was 32.

It is reported that a call went out to 911 from her Los Angeles home at 8 a.m. Attempts to revive her were not successful, and she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

In addition to The White Hotel and Clueless, the Atlanta-born Murphy costarred in 8 Mile and Riding in Cars with Boys.

In May of 2007, she married her White Hotel director, Simon Monjack.

Before meeting the British writer-director, Murphy had been engaged twice. She split with best-boy grip Joe Macaluso in August 2006, and ended her engagement to Jeff Kwatinetz, CEO of the Hollywood talent agency The Firm, in 2004.

She previously dated Kutcher”, her costar in 2003’s Just Married.

Beyonce’s parents to divorce almost 30 years of marriage

Beyonce’s mother has filed for divorce from her father after almost 30 years of marriage.

Celestine Tina Knowles began legal proceedings against music executive and Beyonce’s manager Mathew Knowles on November 11, according to court documents which came to light yesterday.

In a statement she said: ‘The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners.

‘If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.’

Tine, 55, filed for divorce a month after after Mathew, 58, was named in a paternity suit by jobbing actress Alexsandra Wright who claims that he is the father of her unborn child, due in the spring of next year.

But despite the reports of his infidelity, a friend of the Tina and Matthew said the split ‘really wasn’t about affairs’.

They said the couple, who were married in 1980, simply ‘drifted apart’ and led ‘busy, separate lives’.

The source said: ‘It’s a rough time for the family — especially over the holidays.

‘The kids are sad, but it’s been unraveling for some time.

‘They will try to make it cordial. They put their kids first, and will still be around each other.’
