Kendra Wilkinson Gets Married!

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank BaskettKendra Wilkinson wed NFL player Hank Baskett Saturday at her former home, the famed Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, her rep tells Usmagazine.com exclusively.

Wilkinson’s former Girls Next Door costars Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison, as well as their ex Hugh Hefner, were among the 500 guests.

“I’m ready to marry the man of my dreams,” Wilkinson told Us shortly before tying the knot. “He’s one in a million. I’m so lucky.”

Wilkinson, 24, wore more than $100,000 worth of platinum and diamond jewelry by designer Michael Barin. She personally selected the 4.25-carat platinum drop earrings ($47,000), the 2.5-carat platinum pendant ($33,700) and the 4.5-carat bracelet ($21,000).

Her brother Colin walked her down the aisle (Hef was originally slated to do the honor but Wilkinson changed her mind).

Wilkinson and Baskett announced their engagement last November after he proposed at the top of Seattle’s Space Needle.

“Ever since Kendra got together with Hank, she’s grown so much as a person,” Madison told Us Friday at Prive Las Vegas while celebrating her Sin City revue PEEPSHOW. “She became a nicer, more caring, well-rounded person.”

Earlier this month, Wilkinson and Baskett, 27, announced they were expecting their first child together. She said the baby is due Christmas Day.

“We were actually trying to plan a June baby next year, but we’re so happy that it’s Christmas,” she said. “The baby is going to be spoiled with a lot more gifts.”

Michael Jackson Dies after Apparent Cardiac Arrest

Michael Jackson Dies after Apparent Cardiac Arrest | Michael Jackson Michael Jackson, the onetime child star turned King of Pop, died in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest in his home. He was 50 years old.

Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center not far from his rental mansion in the Holmby Hills. The cause of death wasn’t known. An autopsy is set for Friday.

“It’s a very sad day for all of us,” Jackson’s manager, Frank DiLeo, tells PEOPLE. ” It’s such a terrible shame. He was my friend.” As for Jackson’s three children – Blanket, 7, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael, 12 – DiLeo says, “The kids are very upset, but they are fine.”

The entertainer was stricken Thursday afternoon and a 911 call was placed. “His personal physician, who was with him at the time, attempted to resuscitate Jackson, as did paramedics who transferred him,” according to a statement from the hospital.

Frantic, Futile Efforts

With an oxygen mask over his face, Jackson was carted to a red ambulance and rushed to the hospital, arriving at 1:14 p.m. “A team of doctors including emergency physicians and cardiologists attempted to resuscitate for a period of more than one hour but were unsuccessful,” the statement says.

Jackson had been busy rehearsing for a high-stakes comeback tour, set to start within weeks in England, with dozens of dates scheduled and tickets selling out quickly. To prepare for the rigors of performing, he was training with Lou Ferrigno, the star of the TV show The Incredible Hulk.

Farrah Fawcett Dies of Cancer at 62

Farrah Fawcett Dies of Cancer at 62 | Farrah Fawcett Farrah Fawcett, who skyrocketed to fame as one of a trio of impossibly glamorous private eyes on TV’s Charlie’s Angels, has died after a long battle with cancer. She was 62.

Fawcett died at 9:28 a.m. PST on Thursday at St. John’s Heath Center in Santa Monica, Calif. She was with longtime partner Ryan O’Neal, friend Alana Stewart, friend and hairdresser Mela Murphy and her doctor Lawrence Piro. She had recently returned to St. John’s for treatment of complications from anal cancer, first diagnosed three years ago.

“She’s gone. She now belongs to the ages,” O’Neal tells PEOPLE, also confirming that she received the last rites of the Catholic Church. “She’s now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She’s in a better place now.”

Added O’Neal: “She was with her team when she passed … Her eyes were open, but she didn’t say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us.”

Though O’Neal recently said that he and Fawcett had planned to wed, they did not tie the knot. “There just wasn’t time, and Farrah wasn’t in any condition to do it,” says O’Neal.

Friends and family plan to honor Fawcett with a funeral service at a Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days.

Like so much about Fawcett’s life – including her bumpy relationship with O’Neal – her heroic struggle to beat the disease was closely followed by her legion of fans.

“I’ve watched her this past year fight with such courage and so valiantly, but with such humor,” Fawcett’s Charlie’s Angels costar Kate Jackson told PEOPLE in November 2007.

O’Neal, in particular, remained a steadfast supporter of Fawcett, who, despite her frailty, spent the last months of her life filming a TV documentary chronicling her illness, including several trips to Germany to undergo experimental treatment. Fawcett is survived by her son with O’Neal, Redmond, 24, who is currently serving a jail term in California after repeated drug offenses.

Redmond was not there at Fawcett’s side when she died, but spoke to his mother on the phone and told her “how much he loved her and asked her to please forgive him that he was so very, very sorry,” O’Neal tells PEOPLE.
