Jennifer Hudson is pregnant, two sources confirm to Essence.
The 27-year-old former American Idol contestant is engaged to David Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate and former contestant on reality show I Love New York 2. Jennifer is currently touring with Robin Thicke and their next show is April 23 at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jennifer’s manager and publicist have denied these pregnancy rumors but congrats to the happy couple if the rumors are true!!!
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is settling down.
“Great news – I’m getting married to Esther [Nazarov] in July!!!!” the singer, 38, announced last week on his Twitter page. “It’s on!! Break out the bubbley!!”
Durst, who gave his fiancée a Neil Lane ring and posted a photo of the sparkler on TwitPic, added that he’s “the happiest man alive!!”
“I’ve never known true love until now,” he says in another Tweet. “So grateful.”
Durst, who recently reunited with Limp Bizkit and plans to tour this summer, has two children: teenage daughter Adriana, from his first marriage, and son Dallas, 7, with a former girlfriend.
R&B singer and actress Jill Scott and her fiancé, drummer Lil John Roberts, have welcomed their first child, a boy, her manager confirms to PEOPLE.
Jett Hamilton Roberts was born at 4:20 p.m. on April 20. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.
Scott, who stars on HBO’s new series The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, based on the popular novels by Alexander McCall Smith, discovered she was pregnant shortly before leaving for Botswana to film the show.
“At one point I was trying to gain weight for the role, and I noticed I had put on 7 lbs. in 7 days. And I thought, my god! What’s going on here,” she tells PEOPLE. “I thought something was wrong with me, and I found out I was pregnant the day I was supposed to leave for Africa.”
She first revealed her pregnancy to reporters at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles in January. “The first trimester I spent in Botswana,” said Scott, 37, a three-time Grammy Award winner. “That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days.”
But Scott continued filming through her pregnancy: “My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it.”
The new parents, who reportedly began dating in 2007, announced their engagement at a concert in New York City on June 20.
“I definitely had issues over the course of my life, reproduction issues,” she explains to PEOPLE. “I was married for five years and could never conceive a child. Until now … It’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Five months after eloping in Mexico, Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are making it official.
Usmagazine.com has confirmed that the two will tie the knot in a sunset ceremony Saturday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif.
Pratt said it was “totally spur of the moment” when he and Montag flew down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last November and exchanged vows with $8 rings they picked up there.
Still, Montag told Us, “The minute we said our vows, I couldn’t stop crying.”
Outraged that they secretly eloped, Montag’s mother told Us Weekly at the time that she gave their marriage “six months.”
Montag and Pratt planned to make the Mexican wedding official with a trip to the Beverly Hills courthouse — but Pratt had a change of heart at the last minute. Montag, he said, always wanted a traditional wedding with family and friends and a simple, courthouse ceremony didn’t feel right.
“I just want to give you the wedding of your dreams that you have been talking about for three years,” he said on The Hills season 4 finale last December. “I’ll deal with it. It’s worth it to be with you the rest of my life. We’ll do it the way you want, I’m sorry, I love you so much.”
This is going to be some international family! Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd and his wife, English actress Alice Evans, are expecting a baby, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.
This will be the first child for the couple, who currently live in Los Angeles.
The Fantastic Four actor, 35, met Evans, 37, while filming 2002’s 102 Dalmations and they wed in the fall of 2007.
Gruffudd, who gained fame across the pond starring as Horatio Hornblower in Hornblower – the British made-for-TV films based on C.S. Forester’s novels – has also appeared in 2004’s King Arthur and 2006’s Amazing Grace, and played former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in Oliver Stone’s W. last year. He next appears with Julia Roberts in Fireflies in the Garden, due out in June.
Ellen Pompeo and her husband, Chris Ivery, are starting a family together, her rep, Jennifer Allen, confirms to PEOPLE.
“It’s great news,” says Allen. “They’re ecstatic.”
The Grey’s Anatomy star, 39, and Ivery, 41, a music producer, were married by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a low-key ceremony in November 2007. The couple met in a grocery store in 2003 and began dating six months later.
Pompeo, who’s recently been spotted shopping for baby gear around Los Angeles, is not the only Seattle Grace doctor having a baby in real life: Costar Chyler Leigh and her husband, Nathan West, are expecting her third child, a girl, in May.
Madonna was taken to a New York hospital Saturday after falling from a horse while at the South Hampton, N.Y., home of friend and famed photographer Steven Klein.
The singer’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirms Madonna was treated and released after suffering minor injuries and bruises.
“The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer, who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend,” Rosenberg said in a statement to Usmagazine.com. “Madonna will be having further tests and will continue to remain under observation by doctors.”
In 2005, Madonna — a talented equestrian — cracked three ribs and broke her hand and collar bone in a riding accident at her estate just outside London on her 47th birthday. The horse she was riding was a gift from her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie.
Seven months after her injuries, the singer, now 50, was photographed by Klein for a 58-page spread in W magazine, where she was pictured alongside six stallions and posed for the cover in her riding gear.
Later that year, at the 2005 MTV Europe Awards, Madonna spoke publicly about the accident.
“After I fell off my horse it was amazing to be able to get up and dance,” she said, after performing “Hung Up on You” to open the show. “You don’t beat singing live…my heart was just pumping out of my chest.”
