Actress/singer HILARY DUFF has sparked rumours she’s taking her relationship with hockey star MIKE COMRIE to the next level, after she was snapped wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
The 20-year-old star was spotted leaving Hollywood’s Il Sole restaurant with National Hockey League (NHL) star Comrie on Friday night (15Aug08) when she flashed her left hand to reveal a ring.
And the shot has sent gossips into a spin – leading many to speculate over whether Duff and Comrie are engaged.
The couple has been dating for more than a year following Duff’s split from Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.

photo_captionWhen OK! caught up with John Mayer in NYC on Saturday, not only did the singer admit that he and Jennifer Aniston are no longer together — the normally obtuse star actually spoke openly about the split.

“It’s the most normal thing in the world,” John says. “There’s no lying there’s no cheating. There’s no nothing.”

John also had nothing but the kindest words for his ex. “Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I’ve ever met,” he explained. “She’s one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met in my life.”

So what went wrong? “People have different chemistry, they have different lives,” says John. “It’s not about years, it’s about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out. You’re either a cheater or you break up and I’m not the first, I’m the second. And that’s it. There’s no lying, there’s no bullsh**.”

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have tied the knot.

“Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles,” their spokesperson tells PEOPLE exclusively.

DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, both wore Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane during the Saturday ceremony. Their big day also featured arrangements by L.A. florist Mark’s Garden.

The intimate ceremony was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres’s mom Betty and de Rossi’s mother Margaret Rogers (who flew in from Australia for the occasion), who witnessed the couple exchange handwritten vows.

The couple have been dating since December 2004. DeGeneres announced her plans to wed de Rossi during a taping of her talk show in May after California’s Supreme Court ruled a previous ban on gay marriage to be unconstitutional.

The following month de Rossi showed off a 3-carat diamond ring set on a pink pavé band DeGeneres presented to her for their upcoming nuptials when the pair attended the Daytime Emmy Awards together.

“She’s taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I’ve taught her,” the TV host said of de Rossi last year. “We’ve both changed and grown, and we just feel like, ‘Oh, okay, this is completion.'”

We all know that celebrity airbrushing is way out of hand. Sometimes magazine covers look nothing like the person they’re supposed to be! L’Oreal is being accused of lightening Beyonce’s skin for an ad campaign. When Beyonce signed with them for the contract, part of the deal was that they wouldn’t make any “radical” changes to her apperance.

L’Oreal gave the following statement:
“It is categorically untrue that L’Oreal Paris altered Ms Knowles’ features or skin tone in the campaign.”

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, 35, will wed this weekend in California, Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively.The pair are planning a small, intimate ceremony with only a few close friends and family.

Following the California Supreme Court’s monumental ruling that same sex couple’s have the “right to marry,” DeGeneres announced she planned to wed her longtime girlfriend on a taping of her show in May.

“It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited,” DeGeneres, 50, gushed.

DeGeneres reflected on their upcoming nuptials at the Daytime Emmy Awards in Hollywood in June.

“I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don’t all have the same rights,” DeGeneres said.

Of the preparations, DeGeneres joked, “Planning a wedding is very stressful. It’s crazy. My gardener is now invited.”

DeGeneres and de Rossi began dating in December 2004.

“I feel like I found my perfect fit,” DeGeneres said of de Rossi in an interview with the Advocate.

“She’s taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I’ve taught her,” DeGeneres added.

“I am in a pretty good workout regimen that I like, so it inspired me to keep it up,” Hewitt tells Us. “The energy level and the way I feel now is great.”

“With her, it’s not, ‘I want to look good in that dress,'” trainer Stevie Sant’Angelo tells Us. “She wanted to start moving around because she thought it would make her feel better.

“She told me, ‘They said some rude, mean things, but that’s not why I wanted to change,'” Sant’Angelo says.
