Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s newborn twins sold to People magazine for a whopping $14 million, a person involved in the negotiations confirmed to The Associated Press. (Earlier this week, JustJared.com exclusively reported the mag’s winning bid was between $10 to $15 million.)

Since the insider was not authorized to release the figure, he asked not to be named.

People magazine will feature twin babies Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon in an issue to hit newsstands Monday.

Christina Applegate Is Fighting Breast Cancer

Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer, a rep for the actress confirms.

The 36-year-old Samantha Who? actress released a statement via her spokesperson: “Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery. No further statement will be issued at this time.”

This is just one month after her photographer ex-boyfriend Lee Grivas was found dead in his Hollywood apartment — the victim of drug overdose.

Actress Maria Bello Engaged

Maria Bello and Bryn MooserActress Maria Bello is engaged to musician/waiter Bryn Mooser, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.Bello, 41, and Bryn, 28, announced the news in her hometown paper, The Norristown Times Herald of Norristown, PA.

They “fell in love over a sheer passion of politics, Africa and crypto-zoology,” the paper reported.

“He’s beautiful inside and out—a great human being,” Bello told Page Six Magazine. “He has more character in his little finger than any man I’ve ever met.”

The couple has been together for a year-and-a-half after meeting at the restaurant where he works.

“We had been looking at each other,” she has said.

She made the first move at her cousin’s birthday.

“I walked up and said, ‘Can you take this cake and put a candle in it? And by the way, do you have a girlfriend?’ From that night on, we’ve been together,” she told Page Six.

Bello has a seven-year-old son, Jackson Blue, from ex-boyfriend Dan McDermott (they split four years ago).

She stars in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which will hit theaters this Friday.

Matt Damon: We're Having a Girl Break out the pink onesies. Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana – whom the actor says is “due soon” – is having another little girl!

“I’m so outnumbered down here, it’s crazy,” Damon, 37, told USA Today via telephone from his home in Miami.

This child will be the third girl in the Damon household, joining big sisters Isabella, 2, and Alexia, 9.

And while they’re undoubtedly prepared with tons of hand-me-downs, one thing the couple doesn’t have yet is a name. “We decided to wait till she’s born,” Damon said. “We’re going to get a look at her and we’ll probably keep debating it!”

The Bourne star also chatted about packing on the pounds for his “doughy” role in The Informant, joking that he was in danger of forfeiting his Sexiest Man Alive title.

Even now – when he’s started to drop the weight – he told USA Today, “I’m the Sexiest Man Alive’s chunky cousin.”

How is he slimming down? “I’m just boxing,” said the actor, who’s getting ready for re-shoots on Green Zone, in which he plays a solider. “I figure if you get hit enough times, [the weight] will fall off.”

After the re-shoots in September, Damon is looking forward to a much-deserved break. “[I’m] taking the rest of the year off,” he told the paper. “I’m just hanging out with my family.”

MacLachlan, 49, whose next film is The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, and Gruber, 41, an executive producer of Project Runway, have been married for six years.

MacLachlan, who returns to Desperate Housewives this season, told PEOPLE in May that the couple – who knew they were having a boy – were still trying to settle on a name. The actor said he was excited about fatherhood.

“It’s one of those crazy things,” he said. “I’m having the best time watching her body change. I’m paying attention to little kids now.”
