The 32-year-old Les Miserables actor popped the question over the Memorial Day Weekend while on vacation with his lady love.
“He had been planning on it for awhile,†a source told Us Weekly. “They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship … they seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.â€

Armie Hammer and his wife, journalist and TV host Elizabeth Chambers, are expecting their first child later this year, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. The couple just celebrated their four-year anniversary on May 22.
“I was always the guy who thought I’d never get married because [I thought], ‘There’s never going to be one woman worth giving up all the others,’†the actor, 27, told PEOPLE shortly after getting married. “But she knocked me off my feet.â€
Chambers, 31, and Hammer, who will be seen next in Guy Ritchie‘s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and begins shooting the independent dramatic thriller Mine later this month, also own and run Bird Bakery in San Antonio, Texas.
“Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas welcomed a baby boy yesterday, May 29,” their rep told PEOPLE Friday night. “This is their first child. Both mom and baby are doing great.”
News of the impending birth first broke last November, a month after the two actors announced their engagement.
“We are so thrilled … and can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at Once Upon a Time,” the couple, who met on the set of the hit show, said at the time.
They were married last month.
“I think falling in love is always a surprise, right?” Dallas told PEOPLE a year ago. As for meeting Dallas, she said, “It hit me like a blinding light. I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now.’ “
Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have ended their marriage, a rep for the couple confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.
“Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell have decided to separate,” the rep tells Us in an exclusive statement. “They both love and respect one another and will of course remain committed to co-parenting their son. This is a mutual decision and the two remain close friends.”
A source adds: “They love each other so much but it just wasn’t right.”
Wood, 26, and Bell, 28, first met on the set of Green Day’s music video “Wake Me Up When September Ends” in 2004 and tied the knot eight years later in October 2012. Last July, they welcomed a baby boy, whose name has never been revealed. (At the time, Bell praised his “warrior” wife via Twitter for birthing their child so “naturally and peacefully.”)
Back in November, the first time mom opened up about motherhood and her hectic schedule to Us during a screening of her film Charlie Countryman in NYC.
“I’ve been having separation anxiety because I’m so used to him being right here all the time. They kind of become a part of you, you know?” she told Us on Nov. 13 of her little tot. “It was my dream to be a mom, so I’m loving it. I love it.”
“He’s smiling and laughing. He started rolling over,” she gushed of his recent milestones. “He’s grabbing things. You know, he’s making oohs and aahs.”
Wood and the Fantastic Four 2 actor’s last red carpet appearance together was at the LACMA 2013 Art + Film Gala in L.A. last November. Bell, for the most part, has kept mum about his relationship with the Facing the Wind actress, and recently deleted his official Twitter page.

The 33-year-old reality star has changed her name from Kim Kardashain to Kim Kardashian West on her Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Kardashian said “I do” to Kanye West, 36, on May 24 in Florence, Italy, while stunning in a white, Givenchy gown. The couple of two years exchanged traditional vows while standing in front of an enormous wall of flowers and family and friends.
Following their engagement back in October 2013, Kim revealed to E! News she planned on taking her rapper husband’s last name.
“It’ll be Kim Kardashian West,” she revealed, “Not hyphened. Maybe make [Kardashian], like, the middle.”
The couple are parents to 11-month-old North West.
Hayden’s headed to mommyhood! Hayden Panettiere is pregnant and expecting her first child with fiance Wladimir Klitschko, a source reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“Hayden is totally pregnant!” the insider tells Us of the Nashville star, 24, who has been engaged to Klitschko, 38, for a year.
On and off since meeting at a book party in 2009, the Heroes alum and her 6-foot-6 boxer beau dated for two years before splitting in 2011. By the spring of 2013, however, they were back together and ready to spend the rest of their lives with each other.
Speaking about her future with Klitschko in an interview with the May 2013 issue of Glamour just a few weeks after Us broke the news of their engagement, the petite blonde actress expressed her desire to start a family.

The actress, 34, is expecting her first child with husband James Heerdegen, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
The mom-to-be’s pregnancy was revealed as she made her way through Los Angeles International Airport in a belted black dress with Heerdegen on Saturday.
After meeting on the set of her former show Pan Am, Ricci and Heerdegen, a camera technician, went public with their relationship in February 2012, and announced their engagement one year later.
In October, the couple wed in an intimate ceremony at Manhattan’s Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall.
“I can’t wait [to call him], ‘Husband,’ because then I can really throw my weight around,†Ricci joked to PEOPLE before the nuptials.
