After a year back together, Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez have ended their romance. “They broke up recently,” a source close to the Yankee slugger, 36, confirms to Us Weekly.

The duo’s low-profile love was marked by beach getaways and intense workouts together. So what got in the way? Their work ethic!

“She’s very busy with her career,” the source says of Bad Teacher actress Diaz, 39. “And he’s had injuries and wants to focus on his game. They’re dedicated professionals.”

Accordingly, don’t expect any drama in the wake of their split. “They’re still very friendly and like each other,” the source says. “He has an enormous amount of respect for her.”

The pair were married Saturday in his hometown of Traverse City, Mich.

Smart walked down the aisle sparkling in 6-carat diamond and platinum chandelier earrings and a diamond and platinum bracelet from Neil Lane.

Smart and Oosterhouse, both 35, were first spotted together in January and the actress’s rep confirmed in April the couple were engaged.

Smart is known for her roles in The Butterfly Effect and Varsity Blues. Oosterhouse is best known for his turn as a carpenter on TLC’s Trading Spaces and as host of the home improvement show Carter Can.

The actress, 38, and husband David Bugliari welcomed a son named Milo Thomas Bugliari on Wednesday at 9:27 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs., and was 19 inches long.

In March, Milano announced on Twitter that she was expecting a boy.

The actress told PEOPLE she was having a lovely pregnancy and knew her husband would be “the most amazing father ever.”

And before she even met her son, he was already making her laugh. Milano told PEOPLE in May, “Every time I get an ultrasound, he’s doing really funny things like sucking his thumb or elbowing me.”

Milano and Hollywood agent Bugliari wed in 2009, and this is the first child for both.

Leave it to Beyoncé to steal the spotlight at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

But it wasn’t one of the pop diva’s signature show-stopping performances that had people talking. Instead, it was Beyoncé’s burgeoning baby bump, swathed in an orange gown.

Beyoncé, 29, posed for photos with her hands cradling her belly, teasing, “I have a surprise!”

“I’m happy to say it’s true,” her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Later, during the show, she performed “Love on Top,” introducing the song by telling the Nokia Theatre LA Live crowd, “I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.”

After her song, she unbuttoned her sparkling jacket and rubbed her stomach. The crowd roared.

“They told friends in the last month,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She’s never been happier. Seriously it’s all she’s been waiting for. And Jay is like an excited kid. They’re adorable.”

This will be the first child for Beyoncé and her husband of three years, 41-year-old Jay-Z, who performed “Otis” at the VMAs with Kanye West.

Just in June, Knowles, who turns 30 on Sept. 4, told Piers Morgan, “I always said I would have a baby at 30.”

Looks like the talented singer is true to her word!
