Ashlee Simpson, 23, and Pete Wentz, 28, tied the knot in the backyard of her parents’ Encino California home today.
Approximately 150 guests gathered beneath white tents erected on the Simpson property to witness the nondenominational ceremony which was officiated by Joe Simpson himself. Guests included Nicole Richie, who wore a long flowing purple dress, and Joel Madden. Inside the tents the decor was goth rocker: black rugs, white couches with red pillows, black chandeliers and lots of red roses.
The four months pregnant bride wore a Monique Lhuillier dress and a diamond necklace with matching earrings by Neil Lane. Wentz wore a Dior Homme tuxedo.
At the request of the couple, all of the guests wore dark colors, such as blue, black or grey.
Big sis and maid of honor Jessica Simpson brought Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo Tony Romo as her date amidst a week of breakup reports. On Friday, a source told Us that “Joe called Tony and asked him to show support for the wedding.”
Romo arrived at the house hours ahead of time along with family members and close friends.
Simpson and Wentz began dating in late 2006. Usmagazine.com was first to report that the couple are expecting their first child..
As for the happy newlyweds, Simpson opened up about Wentz on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show last month.
“I didn’t know I’d be getting married right now, but I’m so happy to be!” she said. “I’m a lucky girl.”
Wentz told Us of marriage, “When you find someone you think is your soulmate, it’s inevitable.”

Wesley Snipes will serve three years in jail for tax evasion.
In February the Blade actor was convicted of failing to file his taxes for five years. The star was acquitted of tax fraud and filing a false claim, as well as three misdemeanor counts of wilful failure to file a tax return.
But today in Florida, U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges sentenced Snipes to three years imprisonment.
Earlier this week, Snipes’ famous friends, like actors Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington, sent letters to the judge as character references.
The actor’s attorneys argued that Snipes’ crimes did not warrant a prison
sentence, and that the star should be given probation. Details of when Snipes will have to surrender to prison, and where he will serve his sentence have not been released.

Beyonce is officially Mrs. Sean Carter after her and longtime beau Jay-Z tied the knot in New York City yesterday. It was a private and intimate affair, only 30 of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s closest friends and family were in attendance for the big day.
Guests were reportedly asked to wear all white to the reception. Stars like Gwyneth Paltrow (who is pictured in white hiding her face) Chris Martin, Beyonce’s sister Solange and Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams all arrived in a black Mercedes. Diddy and Kanye were also present for the wedding.
A Reverend and his wife were spotted going inside Jay-Z’s Tribeca apartment around 8 p.m. There’s still no official confirmation from either camp but sources close to Jay-Z confirmed the wedding to Hollyscoop yesterday afternoon. Congrats to the happy couple!

A source tells Star,
Halle Berry had a 7lb 4 oz girl at 10:17am Sunday morning, March 16, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Halle had come to the hospital at 4am in the morning because the felt like she was going into labor. It was a bit scary because her blood pressure was skyrocketing and everyone was a little tense. She’s a diabetic so that was complicating matters as well. The doctors checked the fetal heart rate and everything seemed okay. After a while Halle’s blood pressure came down. She wasn’t dilating anymore so at around 2:45pm they let her go home. Halle felt her contractions come on a lot more intensely later that night so she came back to the hospital at 11:00pm Saturday night. Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn’t even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene.â€
