Becki Newton is pregnant — and the happy news is causing some changes in character on her new show, Love Bites.
“She plays a virgin [in the pilot episode], so we have to make adjustments to that,†explains NBC’s executive VP-current programming Vernon Sanders.
The show has been pushed back to midseason to allow for the former Ugly Betty star’s pregnancy, as well as to resolve casting issues and find a new executive producer, USA Today reports.
This will be the first child for Newton, 31, and husband Chris Diamantopoulos, whom she wed in May 2005.
