At 7:40 p.m. on Friday, the guests started arriving at Beyonce and Jay-Z’s big wedding bash, the most anticipated event in the music business. The bride’s Destiny Child former band mates, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland were the first to arrive at the groom’s upscale downtown NYC apartment, followed 10 minutes later by Gwyneth Paltrow and her rocker husband Chris Martin, who piled out of a Mercedes 550. The father of the bride Matthew Knowles was next to arrive, flanked with guests, wearing a white tuxedo to see his daughter.
Preparations have been going on all day, and no expense was spared for the nuptials and after-party, where DJ Cassidy will be spinning on the rooftop of the penthouse. After tonight’s celebrations, Jay-Z and Beyonce are back to work!

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are not only getting married in New York on April 4, but In Touch can exclusively reveal that they are also tying the knot in France! An insider tells In Touch, “It’s going to be on May 4 in France. They’re obsessed with the number four and call it their lucky number.”
Some are speculating that the New York celebration will take place Tuesday evening at Jay-Z’s Tribeca apartment, where workers were busy earlier in the day preparing for an all-white- themed bash, complete with the Roman numeral IV, and were told to vacate the building by 3 p.m.
Not only does the music-making couple share matching IV tattoos on their ring fingers, which they got in Paris on December 4, they also were born on the fourth day (Beyoncé on September 4 and Jay-Z on December 4). With locations in Las Vegas and New York, Jay-Z’s club franchise is named 40/40.
