T.I. has had a dramatic week of ups and downs.
On Friday, two days after he talked a suicidal man down from an Atlanta skyscraper, the rapper, 30, was sent back to jail for more 11 months for violating the terms of his probation, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. The rapper left prison this past March after a yearlong stay on federal weapons charges.
Last month, T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested in L.A. after cops discovered marijuana in their car. At the time, the hip-hop star was on probation related to his earlier prison stay.
Police in the September bust charged the star for possessing ecstasy, testing positive for opiates and associating with a convicted felon.
On Thursday, T.I. told UsMagazine.com that he was humbled by his help in saving a despondent man from suicide. “I can’t say it’s the most heroic thing that I did,” he told Us. “It may have been one of the most spiritual moments that I’ve had.”
“Life can send you down very, very, very dark roads,” the star added. “It’s not always pleasant and it seems unlivable even at times.”
