One of the most desired women in the world is back on the market.
After about a year of dating, Scarlett Johansson has split from NYC ad executive Nate Naylor, a source confirms to Us Weekly. The breakup occurred within the last week.
The Hitchcock actress, 27, was first photographed snuggling with Naylor, 38, in February 2012, with sources explaining to Us Weekly at the time that the couple had already been dating for five months.
“They met though mutual friends,” one pal explained. “And they were hot and heavy right off the bat.” A native of Phoenix, Ariz., Naylor is “a really interesting guy . . . more artist than businessman,” the pal continued.
Johansson opened up about dating the non-celebrity in the May issue of Vogue. “It must be very strange for him,” mused the Oscar nominee, who divorced Ryan Reynolds in late 2010 and rebounded in early 2011 with Sean Penn, 52, for a five month romance. (Reynolds, 35, wed for the second time last month, exchanging vows with Blake Lively after less than a year of dating.)
“It’s totally bizarre,” she continued of Naylor. “It’s an adjustment — I mean, it’s got to be an adjustment for him way more than it was for me at nineteen. But he’s remarkably good about it.”
Back in August, the sexy couple were spotted having a romantic vacation in Paris, strolling through the City of Lights as they held onto one another.
Last month, Johansson’s rep denied split speculation after the stunning actress was photographed at the Democratic National Convention holding hands with a man other than Naylor: Jared Leto, a former fling from several years back.
“Scarlett is still dating Nate,” the rep told Us. “This is very innocent. Scarlett and Jared have remained friends, nothing more, nothing less.”
