Did Brittany Murphy get married for a Green Card? According to the National Enquirer, Murphy’s new husband, Simon Monjack, was arrested on expired visa charges on March 27, charges which the tabloid alleges are responsible for the couple’s quickie nuptials. The rag also alleges Monjack has bad debts stemming from sleazy business schemes. The new Mr. Murphy’s lawyer says the claims are being made by “disgruntled ex-girlfriends” and that immigration lawyers concluded that the marriage had no bearing on Monjack’s visa status. Murphy’s rep has not commented.
