\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter five years of marriage, Tom Cruise<\/span> and Katie Holmes<\/span> are getting a divorce, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.<\/p>\n

“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” says Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”<\/p>\n

Cruise’s rep tells PEOPLE: “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy.”<\/p>\n

The Rock of Ages<\/em> star, 49, wed actress Holmes, 33, in an Italian castle in November 2006. They have daughter Suri, 6.<\/p>\n
